The Baltimore Port Alliance is a non-profit group of maritime business representatives dedicated to addressing the needs and interests of businesses and individuals who make their living and support their families through maritime commerce.

Mission:  To foster growth and development of the Port of Baltimore community through the exchange of information and the creation of partnerships to advance positive and sustainable economic, environmental and community impacts.

Vision:  The Baltimore Port Alliance is the primary advocate for the interests of the maritime industry in Maryland, driving economic opportunities, establishing an informed and supportive constituency, and producing tangible results for its members.

Education & Outreach Committee

Mission - Encourage and support educational partnerships between the Baltimore Port Alliance and the population of the Chesapeake region through programs that positively promote and advance the economic and environmental impact of the Port of Baltimore.

Environmental Committee

Mission - Inform our members on key environmental issues facing the Port of Baltimore and communicate to external stakeholders about the Port’s role in environmental stewardship.

Legislative Committee

Mission - Ensure that there is appropriate monitoring, review and oversight on federal, state and local legislation that could affect our members and, as appropriate, make recommendations to the Executive Steering Committee and the general membership regarding government activities that could affect the Port of Baltimore community.

 
 

Through information, advocacy, and service, the BPA seeks to protect the business climate for Marylander's by promoting the importance of the maritime industry in our State. We do so by sponsoring community and legislative forums, keeping elected officials informed, and fostering better communications with state and federal resource agencies.
